Its a pumpkin ! Even though the name is “Sweet dragon”( 甘龍 )
There are many different type of pumpkins in Japan. And we choose a pumpkin depending on the recipe.
some are a bit sticky texture, some are quite potato like texture.
This “dragon” 🙂 is very sweet as the name says.
The shape is similar with “butternut squash” in England but the taste is much deeper and sweeter.
Making Pumpkin soup …
Simple and easy.
Onion, salt, pumpkin, milk and a bit of good quality butter.
you can replace milk and butter to soy milk and sunflower oil, if you are vegan.
